Work We Turn Down
We work on residential garage doors, springs, openers, tracks, cables, and panels around Fort Walton Beach and out to Ocean City, Mary Esther, Shalimar, and Lake Lorraine. What we don't do is chase every job that comes in. If a door is a commercial rolling steel unit built for a warehouse bay, that's a different animal with different hardware, and we'll tell you so on the phone instead of wasting your afternoon.
A lot of the houses in this area were built in the 1960s and 70s, with plenty more going up through the 1970s into the 2000s. On the older doors, torsion springs and drums sometimes don't match anything currently stocked, and a straight repair can cost more in parts-hunting than a new door section would. When that's the case, we say so up front rather than billing you for a patch that won't hold.
We also won't quote a job sight unseen over the phone when the issue could be a bent track, an off-balance door, or a bad opener board - those look similar from the driveway but need different fixes. We'd rather ask a few questions and get someone out to look than guess and get it wrong.
What Happens After You Call
Call 1-850-743-4024 and you'll talk to someone who can ask what the door is doing - won't open, won't close, makes noise, sags on one side - and get a sense of what's likely wrong before a truck ever leaves. That matters here because a house near Hurlburt Field with military-spec hardware sometimes needs different parts than a house built in the 1990s off toward Valparaiso.
We'll get your address and a rough idea of when someone can get to you. If your spring let go on a double door and the car's stuck inside, that's treated differently than a slow-closing opener that's been acting up for a month. Either way, you'll know before we hang up roughly what to expect, not just a vague callback promise.
When the tech arrives, they'll look at the actual door - not just the symptom you described - before quoting anything. If it's a straightforward spring or roller job, that often gets fixed the same visit. If parts need to be ordered for an older or less common door, we'll tell you that too, instead of leaving you guessing.
How to Reach Us
Phone is the fastest way to reach us: 1-850-743-4024. Our address is 99 Eglin Pky NE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548, which puts us close to Ocean City and Mary Esther and within a short drive of Shalimar and Lake Lorraine.
We serve homeowners across this stretch of the Emerald Coast, from the older neighborhoods near the water out toward newer construction near Valparaiso. If you're further out - Miramar Beach or Harris, for instance - call first and we'll tell you whether it's a trip we can make and roughly when.
The mild climate here means we're not dealing with the frozen-track calls a shop up north gets in January, but the humidity and salt air do their own damage to hardware over time, especially on older torsion setups. If you're not sure whether what you're hearing or seeing is worth a call, call anyway - that's a five-minute conversation, not a commitment.
